Cross-country skiing in the Allgäu
Moosloipe Eglofs
The village of Eisenharz is also part of the Argenbühl village network. Argenbühl’s town hall is also located here. The village is best known for its beautiful village square and the Allgäu farmer’s fountain. Visitors to Eisenharz in summer can also explore the village on the Alpenvorfreude cycle tour.
But in winter, the hilly landscape around Argenbühl is particularly suitable for cross-country skiing. The Eisenharzer Moosloipe is connected to Eglofs and is therefore easily accessible. You can check which trails are open on the Argenbühl municipal website before you go cross-country skiing.

Not far from Eglofs is the Eisenharzer Moosloipe, which can be reached via the Eglofs panorama trail and the connecting trail. The Moosloipe is around 4.5 km long and perfect for skating and classic cross-country skiing.
Cross-country skiing in the Eisenharzer Moor not only offers a magnificent Alpine panorama, but also a wintery atmosphere in snow-covered forests.
The trail starts at the B12 junction in the direction of Eisenharz and leads along the Eisenharzer Moor to Gründels. There is a wonderful panoramic view of the Alps near the Böschlehof. From there it goes downhill back towards the starting point.
This is the way to the Moosloipe:
The Moosloipe is accessible via the panorama trail in Eglofs. The starting point is the Eglofs sports ground, which can be reached on foot or by car from the Hotel zur Rose. From there, follow the panoramic trail to the turn-off in Aschen, which leads to the Eisenharzer Moosloipe via the connecting trail.
