We are the people behind the Rose.
‘A real Allgäu family that runs its hotel with heart and soul.
The Rose has been part of our family for six generations – and our family has been part of the Rose.
This is not an anonymous hotel business, but our home. A place with history, personality and genuine hospitality. And you might feel that as soon as you walk in.
What makes us special?
We are real. Direct. Familiar.
Every one of us is fully involved – in the kitchen, in service, at reception.
We learned it from the ground up. It’s our thing and we love what we do. Because we think so: You should feel that you are welcome.

You don’t get a standard vacation, but real encounters.
Maybe a tip for the next tour or excursion in the morning.
In the evening, a little chat over dinner.

Ekkehard Kresser
The senior chef completed his training as a chef in 1972 and successfully completed his training certificate. Shortly after completing his training, he took over the family business and continues to run it successfully today with his wife Gertraud.
Cooking is his passion and every day he stands behind the stove and wields the wooden spoon. He lovingly cooks the many fine dishes that have been famous in the Rose for decades and is always creating new dishes with his son. He goes down very well with the guests with his snappy remarks.
Gertraud Kresser
In 1987, the senior manager completed her BA studies in Ravensburg with a training certificate and became Ekkehard’s wife. They still run the family business together today.
Always hard-working, she is at work every day and looks after the well-being of the guests. She looks after all the guests and staff. You can feel the family atmosphere.
Christian Kresser
The company succession is secured, Christian and his wife will continue to run the business in the 6th generation.
He successfully completed his training as a chef in 2010 and has already worked in renowned 5-star hotels in Germany and abroad. In 2015, Christian completed his degree in hotel management with a focus on financing and investments, including a training certificate at the famous Heidelberg Hotel Management School.
Christian is very passionate about his job and contributes to the business with his creativity and expertise. His amiable, open manner is noticeable among the guests and everyone feels well looked after at the Rose.
Ramona Kresser
Ramona successfully completed her training as a hotel manageress in 2010. She then worked in several renowned 5-star hotels in Germany and abroad. In 2015, she graduated from the famous hotel management school in Heidelberg with a degree in hotel management with a focus on marketing, including a training certificate.
With her warmth, she is popular with the guests and creates trust. She takes care of the guests’ wishes and suggestions to make their Allgäu vacation unforgettable and relaxing.
