The 7-km Hummelberg loop also starts at the village square in Eglofs. From there, the trail descends into Eglofstal, where the Marienkapelle chapel and the Lourdes Grotto are located. The hiking route continues towards M\u00fchlbolz and Hummelberg, where you will find the 19th century Hofkapelle chapel. The route continues to Aschen and Reute, where you can enjoy the beautiful Alpine panorama. Shortly before Aschen, you can take a detour to the B\u00fchl Chapel. Not far from Eglofs is a popular excursion destination. In the Eistobel between Maierh\u00f6fen and Gr\u00fcnenbach, the Obere Argen has eaten 70 meters deep into the rock. The word “Tobel” is Alemannic and describes a gorge surrounded by forest. A walk through the Eistobel takes around two hours, making it the perfect half-day excursion for the whole family. The Eistobel is always worth a visit – both in summer and in winter in the Allg\u00e4u.
